Urgent General Assembly called, strike in the offing
By Andrew Kiwanuka
The University administration is facing hard times since the decision to assume the powers of the guild was taken. The embattled guild government presided by the prime minister Anita Muhairwe has decided to call an immediate General Assembly to contest what they called a hijack of students ‘powers.
The meeting that was attended by majority of parliamentarians, both past ,present and aspiring leaders in the guild information centre resolved to stop talking and do some thing that will show their dissatisfactions against the University administration in assuming full powers of amending the guild constitution.
Following the suspension of Lufunya and his entire guild activities, the university decided to amend the guild governing document, some thing that abrogates article one of the same constitution that stipulates that the students shall make their own laws.
Other issues raised in the meeting to guarantee the immediate calling of the General Meeting were the uncertainties of the cultural gala and the next guild elections. “Do not think of even campaigning before this sensitive issue is sorted out”, one outgoing guild leader advised interested members in the next guild government adding that rumour has it that elections of the next government has been shifted from 2nd to 17 next month without proper explanation from the university.
They intend to later move on to various offices carrying placards in what they said will be a peaceful demonstration.

The difference between men and Real men
By DR.Dru
This week, I am touched and I decided to talk about men. From my little research, MAN stands for Master Appointed Naturally. Woman, stands for Word Of Master Appointed Naturally. I want to give you the difference between REAL men and MOST men.
Real men, put you on the phone when their mothers call.
Most men, pretend you are there when their mothers call.
Real men, claim to be feminists but still insist on opening doors, driving and paying for dinner.
Most men ,claim to be feminists because they let you open doors, drive and pay for dinner.
Real men know what they want to be doing five years down the road.
Most men are not sure what they want to be doing later tonight.
Real men really know how to make you relax.
Most men really know how to make you laugh.
Real men play golf.
Most men play cards.
Real men make a lot of money before they are 30.
Most men make a lot of mistakes before they are 30.
Real men wear ties with stripes, shirts with buttons and shoes with laces.
Most men wear high school t-shits they have actually owned since high school.
Real men think perfume (yours) is a turn on.
Most men think sweat (theirs) is a turn on.
Real men balance their check books.
Most men balance their loans so that they never hit up the same buddy twice in a row.
Real men have an internist, a tailor, and an accountant.
Most men have a barber, a bartender and a mechanic.
Real men are afraid of becoming their fathers.
Most men are afraid of becoming real men.
Real men start their own businesses.
Most men quit their jobs.
Real men order wine based on more than the price.
Most men bring their own beer.
So men, examine yourself and see where you fall.
Women, examine your man and advice him accordingly.
