Political animal’ misses out of guild race.

The outspoken parliamentarian,Haumba Michael will not contest in the coming guild elections,Nkumba Times has learnt.

The ambitious politician revealed to Times that he has a tight schedule and can’t participate in Nkumba guild politics. Haumba is currently campaigning in his home district,Butaleja where he wants to become the LCV chairman.

“Nkumba politics is still young, even those who are coming need political guidance, otherwise they can’t manage”Haumba disclosed.In a two hours interview,Haumba blamed students who want guild leadership based on personal gains. He pointed out the rampant corruption in the current guild.

”Our so called leaders in the guild are ever corrupted whenever the money is out, in this way, these guild leaders have always lost focus on issues patterning students' interests”Haumba said adding that unless the trend changes, the students will always be left out.
