Students lose trust in Okebe.

By James Mubi

Its now 41 days since Okebe was invested as Guild President. Nkumba Times has taken great pains to find out what students make of Okebe’s administration. 95% say he has done little or nothing.
Student’s plight are as many as freshers, for instance DSTV subscription, dilapidated buildings in Pan Africa, warden’s office has a big crack and students living near the office live in constant fear, come rain or shine students particularly freshers move back and forth from Nkumba village to campus for lectures and meals, something which might see many students moving out of tirupati and that will mean a great loss to the varsity.
Mr. Okebe is very generous in making empty promises, remember the victory party was held nowhere may be it was held in his home district Bukedia, Some students say Okebe does not listen to his advisers perhaps that accounts for his poor service delivery, a second year law student had this to say “Okebe does not have the necessary material to be the president.
”While speaking to Nkumba Times reporters on Monday, Okebe said DSTV will be subscribed on Wednesday, he added that they will be no more interruptions until the end of the semester. Currently, Okebe’s mind is occupied with securing varsity ambulance, Nkumba Times has a copy of his letter addressed to President Museveni, he called upon students to attend the general assembly scheduled to take on 28 August.
