Talking point

We had a pep-talk with one faithful Miriam who is also a counselor talking about pregnant gals on campus and this is how it went.
NT.Yes Miriam what’s up?
Miriam. Not bad.
NT.When are you inventing Nkumba Time scribes for your wedding?
Miriam. I do not know but I am greatly disappointed.
NT.With what?
Miriam. With the way pregnant students are being overlooked, despised and some times abused by others.
Nt.That is not good.
Miriam. This practice is backward and should be stopped immediately.
NT.Do you think we can fight such a disease in campusers?
Miriam. I think at campus, one is mature enough to decide whether to conceive or not
NT.You sound so annoyed.
Miriam. Above all, it’s through conception that even you who laugh and gear at our pregnant sisters exist courtesy of the same.
NT.But have you seen me anywhere laughing?
Miriam. Some of these chics are suffering the consequences because of you.
NT.What do you mean?
Miriam. I mean you impregnate them, and end up denying responsibility. Some have even been forced to apply for dead years for they cannot with stand such booing pressures yet they could afford.
NT.Are you trying to say that one should now kona dance to have a dead year.
Miriam. Get me clear, I’m not encouraging students to conceive especially when they are not ready, but such acts which make life hard for a student who has been kona danced either with consent or by accident should stop as they are in human,
NT.Why if she is having a great time with her man or rat the way you refer them to?
Miraim. Its outdated and above all causes un-ending psychological impairments.
NT.Thank you for your time and see you soon on your wedding day.
Catch you guys next time and watch this space because it handles topics from all angles.
